Terms of Service

Last updated: 27 June 2026

1. Acceptance of the terms

By using "subtitles.help" you fully accept these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement (an adult, or with the consent of the person exercising parental responsibility).

2. The Provider

The service provider is Kakavelakis Georgios (a sole proprietorship), VAT no. 046470052, based at Glyfada (hereinafter the "Provider", "we"). Contact: [email protected].

3. The Service

subtitles.help is an automatic AI subtitle-translation tool: you upload a subtitle file (.srt) and receive a translation. The translation is machine-generated (AI), is not reviewed by a human and is provided "AS IS", without any warranty of accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. The subtitles may contain errors and human review is recommended before any publication or official/professional use. You acknowledge and accept that responsibility for the final review rests with you.

4. Your responsibility for the content

By uploading content, you represent and warrant that:

The Provider operates as a technical tool and does not pre-screen the uploaded material.

5. Copyright & Library

Content is published in the public Library only if you explicitly opt in (opt-in) and declare that you hold the relevant right. We respect the rights of third parties: any rightsholder who believes they are affected may request immediate removal (takedown) — see Report/Takedown. Upon a valid request, we remove the content without undue delay.

6. Acceptable use

The following are prohibited: abuse or overloading of the service, automated bulk use without authorization, attempts to circumvent limits/security, reverse engineering, and any use that violates the law or the rights of third parties.

7. Payments, prices & VAT

Payments are processed via Stripe. We do not store card details. Prices are shown before purchase. Where required, VAT is added based on the consumer's country (EU digital services).

8. Right of withdrawal (digital content)

The service is performed immediately. At the time of purchase, you expressly consent to performance beginning immediately, before the end of the 14-day withdrawal period, and you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once delivery of the result is completed.

9. Refunds

Once the translation has been delivered, there is no obligation to refund. In the event of a technical problem on our side (the translation was not delivered or failed due to our error), we refund the amount or re-run the service.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The service and the results are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without express or implied warranties (e.g. of translation accuracy, merchantability or uninterrupted operation).

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Provider shall not be liable for indirect, special or consequential damages. The Provider's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service. Nothing in the foregoing limits any liability that cannot be excluded by law (e.g. fraud, personal injury).

12. Indemnification

You agree to release and indemnify the Provider against any third-party claim arising from content you uploaded or from your breach of these terms or of the law.

13. Accounts

An account is optional (you may use the service as a guest). You are responsible for the security of your password and for all activity on your account.

14. Amendment of the terms & the service

We may modify the terms or the service. Changes take effect upon their publication here. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate an account or access in the event of a breach of the terms or of the law.

16. Governing law & jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Greek law. The competent courts shall be those of Athens, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection law that affords you protection in your country of residence.
